IT'S ABOUT TIME FOR THE METERS

When I look at some of the silly inductees voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame I wonder if Tiny Tim will ever make it.  So now the original Meters are finally nominated for induction.  Not only were they THE major funk influence in America, they boasted some of the most talented musicians the funk world has heard.  You can easily say George Porter, Jr. may indeed be the all-time greatest funk bassist.  And I say it in the same breath as Stanley Clark, Jaco Patorious, Bootsy Collins, and my cousin, Larry Graham.
